Beacon (Markosian-Clinger)
lyrics ©2012 Ken Clinger
beacon in the sky
brilliantly blazing
radiate waves of wonder
streams of energy
sustaining presence
focus suspended lives
opening eyes to splendor sleeping
definite without number
reaching beyond confused persuasion
unbounded spirits rise
diamond in the sky
energy spreading
unspoken destination
solar magnitude
magnetic union
gathering in the light
opening hearts to tender sharing
intricate combination
inner eminence
abundant moment
reaching beyond delight
crossing the horizon
at the edge of dawn
sunshine on the water rising
with the graceful swan
opening forgotten chambers
at the break of day
sunlight waking memories
as darkness fades away
interactive journey
thru the worlds below
gazing past the limits
to the essence that you know
rise beyond obscuring clouds
dominions of the sun
where wishes and reality are one
beacon in the sky
increasing substance
ongoing destination
streams of brilliance
extending wisdom
expanding light of day
revealing sounds beyond the border
melting away the struggle
pleasure within the undertaking
ongoing dream display

Tennis Tone Quarter (Zidbovinesick)
lyrics ©2009 Tom Furgas & Ken Clinger
Nancy pelts Omega sprains
Poi on ledge, looks at Paul.
Dreaming dancing in the rains
from summer banquets to fall.
The filial totem, a toga tree
Sluggo’s phantom in drag
Fritzie addresses a bumblebee
hiding its stinger in a shopping bag.
Mockery sups on Ringo’s back
Rollo splat tennis tone quarter
Pale mosh viola John’s insomniac
Revolver begets transporter
Reefscape George for Shaghai checkers
Bedlam Springs energize
Dreaming Paul meets polar trekkers
which Nancy’s plans disguise

Gather (Ray Carmen & Ken Clnger)
lyrics ©2003 Ken Clinger
gather in their light
candles form in avenues
wait for each new hour to toll
daydreams as clustered jewels
sweet emotions flow
windows share the morning breeze
floral secret shapes unfold
their truth our distant fantasies
blossoms and buds and stars appear
from early morning spring
mystical hues and legends stir
their memories make us sing
gardens newly green
melodies from far away
whispers from our childhood dreams
each moment is a holiday
recognizing daily paths
lead to our inner passageway
mystical hues and legends stir
our memories from the night
rediscovered song
rising in the candlelight
present to the future
endless flight

What you Know (CXXXVI-KC)
lyrics ©2010 Catherine Welsh/CXXXVI
Well they said write what you know
Well so far the page is blank
And I don’t want to put words into your mouth
Because I’m afraid how they’ll come out.
So it’s best if we let the silence
speak for itself
Because it has a way with words
That I could never say
Well they said write down
what you’ve learnt
from your mistakes
Well so far there isn’t
enough paper
in the world to list all my mistakes
And I don’t want you to eat your words
Because they are rather poisonous.
So it’s best if we let the silence
speak for itself
Because it has a way with words
That we could never say

Lady of the Lake (AMKC)
lyrics ©2012 Ken Clinger
Deep beneath the waters
in the realm of Avalon
the Lady of the Lake
looks back thru time
the memories linger on
The Days of Camelot
of Arthur and the sword
Excaliber, protecting righteous knights
the balance is restored
in dreams and voices
that are calling from the past
from Merlin
from Lancelot
they’re just beyond her grasp
Lancelot, relieved of madness
raised in courtly love
taught the ways of knighthood
protector of her fragile son
Above the lake, in crystal cave
Merlin slumbers on
he visits her in nightly dreams
of magic scenes
where time and space are gone
into the memories
of spells and shadows cast
their clarity is fading
and now beyond her grasp
Merlin in the distant past
the lady as a child
she comes to Merlin as a boy
innocent and mild
a student of the magic arts
serenely she excels
her gender is revealed
implicit in her spells
with passing time, affection grows
ripens into love
imparted wisdom, safely shared
he longs for worlds above
a crystal cave they build together
bridging, binding souls forever
world of dreams
their meeting place
beyond earth’s grasp
he sleeps to wake
no time nor space
in gardens of their love.
Gazing thru the crystal waters
a distant glow increasing in its light
The Lady of the Lake
a memory awake-
-ening from long ago
benevolent delight
Drifting thru the dreaming patterns
the light becoming brighter than the sun
recognition grows
instinctively she knows, the growing light
beyond and deep inside are one
Rise above the waters
o’er the realm of Avalon
the Lady of the Lake
goes beyond time
no memories linger on
The days of Camelot
they fade into the light
a shadow of their origin
a deeper true reality
Delighting recognizing
love unlimited and pure
of Merlin
of Lancelot
all love that will endure

Blitzen Trapper (Thelonious Octopus & KC)
(lyrics © Thelonious Octopus)
Christmas Eve! Shout Hip hip hooray!
Santa Claus is coming today!
I don’t care what all my friends say!
He’s real, believe all the way!
But I will show them they are wrong
By the end of this silly song!
I’ll set a trap for his reindeer
And get the best prize of all year!
I am going to trap Blitzen
Mom and Dad said it’s quite brazen
But I want to be a trapper
Of that doe who is so dapper
Then they will all have to believe
On this wonderful Christmas Eve
That Santa is for real
“Hip hip hooray!” we will squeal!
Outside snow is falling
I know Santa will be calling.
I went to the roof in a dash
And set up a trap in a flash
With just a sprig of mistletoe
I know I will catch that dear doe
For it’s her favorite Christmas treat
It will hold up the whole deer fleet!
I am going to trap Blitzen
Mom and Dad said it’s quite brazen
But I want to be a trapper
Of that doe who is so dapper
Then they will all have to believe
On this wonderful Christmas Eve
That Santa is for real
“Hip hip hooray!” we will squeal!
With a big laugh heard far and wide
Santa’s sleigh came down with a glide.
Resting firmly on my own roof
With the clomp clomp clomp of the hooves
Blitzen ate up her Christmas treat
And I rose up fast from my seat.
I have her now, oh Christmas joy!
I’m happy as a baby boy!
I trapped Blitzen, I trapped her sure!
Proof of Santa I did procure!
I am the true Blitzen trapper
Of that doe who is so dapper!
Now they will all have to believe
On this wonderful Christmas Eve
That Santa is for real
“Hip hip hooray!” we will squeal!
Santa boomed, “Hold still, little boy!
If you take her there’ll be no joy
For nobody will get their toys
With this plot that you have deployed!
It takes all nine to drive my sleigh
Without one I am forced to stay!
Think of all on this Christmas Day
So all can shout hip hip hooray!”
I trapped Blitzen, but off she goes!
They’re all led by Rudolph’s red nose!
I was the true Blitzen trapper
Of that doe who is so dapper!
Maybe not all my friends believe
On this wonderful Christmas Eve
That Santa is for real
But “Hip Hip hooray” I will squeal!

Reflecting in the Eye (Ken’s Smiles)
lyrics ©2007 Ken Clinger
setting aside the book
looking outside the window
having another look
for what I've never seen
giving another thought
facing a new direction
something that's been forgotten
something that comes between
count the cracks upon the wall
stare into the sky
catch a glimpse of last night's dream
reflecting in the eye
images form between the brows
vague yet quite familiar
buzzing and hums as soothing sounds
feelings say what they mean
moonlight upon the window sill
empathy in the glow
patterns are forming as they will
movement beyond the scene
count the cracks upon the wall
stare into the sky
catch a glimpse of last night's dream
reflecting in the eye

Adam 15 (Stomberg-Clinger)
lyrics ©2004 Greg Stomberg
innocence be lost
amongst the mortal cost
we do what we must do
to satisfy the animal zoo
In future times of tales untold
in utopia's garden with heroes so bold
spoke with truth when they did say
that honor and justice is free will's way
of keeping the peace thruout the land
by limiting the land by limiting the role
of the government's hand
tell me about the brave
how they sang as they were slaughtered
by cowardly wicked forces
in front of their songs and daughters
tell me about the free
how they sang as they were executed
because they did no wrong
for opinions were persecuted
tell me about the strong
how they sang as they were jailed
for believing the were free
to the crosses they were nailed
tell me about the young
how they sang while labeled zeros
for writing many songs
about many fallen heroes
empty dragons singing
whispering in the dark
as the castle walls falling
surrounds the devil's lark
cauldrons burned with excess
from experimental scores
thus reigns the land supreme
with investigative wars
the sea dogs hunt you blindly
thru the gated posts of hell
the pin god wields lightly
to him it's just as well
beware the lion's laughter
if you slip into the past
the ancient ones, still sleeping
will awaken now at last

Legend of the Map (Captive Audience & KC)
lyrics ©1999 Craig Conley
Since the birth of human languages
we’ve been mapping out our lives.
Like some verbal cartographers
tracing patterns of our speech.
Here I struggle with depicting
what is known not merely seen.
Transforming into being
what’s understood not only sensed.
Invisible, impassable
brought into the here and now.
Both the present and the absent
endowed with scale and in relief.
A map without a subject
is a tuneless song.
Trace these lines of melody
across the world.
The legend on a map
puts symbols into words.
Symbols are created
to promote a myth.
I draw and stretch imagination
presenting not the world I see.
I am pointing my heart’s compass
toward a world that we might know.
The surface is a sort of window
through which my new world is seen.
I hold the corners of this framework
unfolding far beyond belief.
Unfolding far beyond belief...
I see snowcapped mountains
rising toward the sky.
I see rivers
flowing toward the sea.
I hear people pounding
beating rhythm on their drums.
I feel the pulse unfolding
far beyond belief.
Since the birth of human languages
we’ve been mapping out our lives.
Like some verbal cartographers
tracing patterns of our speech.
A map without a subject
is a tuneless song.
Trace these lines of melody
across the world.
The legend on a map
puts symbols into words.
Symbols are created
to promote a myth.
