at the end of the day
all that glitters is not gold
all the tea in China
it's as good as new
whether you blow hot or cold

the blind leading the blind
it's a bitter pill to swallow
when it all come to a head
it's a blessing in disguise
to get blood from a stone
even when you're hanging by a thread

I'm as mad as a hatter
at the drop of a hat
all dressed up with nowhere to go
I'm all fingers and thumbs
all bark and no bite
at a dog & pony show

don't hold your breath
don't take wooden nickels
don't upset the apple cart
if I drag my feet
