Alan 04:50
Alan (Ken Clinger) Alan sits beneath the pines the softness of the needles soothes the edges of his memories his recent life on Earth Alan breathes the scent and sighs this resting place begins to pale and fragments of the memories solidify and reveal their worth Alan finds himself in dreams of others that he left behind his image matches memories he changes shape to match their need Alan rarely says a word his presence seems to fill the role and any words he utters emphasize and alter what they mean Alan dreams he’s flying above the darkened land points of light they call his name below Up ahead a ray of light transcending the horizon following requires the past a weight to be let go Alan says goodbye to all his recent life on Earth mem’ries stay without the pull their essence added to his light he leaves behind an image for those who think he shows a way Alan flies above the pines transcending the horizon with delight

Dance in the River (Ken Clinger) Living in the city living in the country living in apartment living in a house oh, we don't really care what our surroundings are as long as you and I and all the others learn not to fade away learn not to give away what we've forgotten what we've committed to before we came here before we landed before we entered into all of this corporeal matter dance in the river sing in the morning sing in the evening dance in the sea of all that's not important at least that's what we're told inside the cracks between the lines behind the surface something is trying to get our attention something that's always been there oh, we don't really care what the message is as long as you and I and all the others learn how to fly away and still remain on earth what we've forgotten what we're committed to returns in those moments returns in their time to check on our progress in the corporeal world dance in the ocean chant in the sunrise hum in the sunset dance in the light of all that's really important in spite of what we're told living in the suburbs living on a mountain living in a trailor living in a penthouse oh, we don't really care what our surroundings are as long as you and I and all the others swim in the river dance in the morning sing in the evening float in the air dance in the river sing in the morning chant in the evening dance in the sea dance in the ocean chant in the sunrise hum in the sunset dance in the light.

Hilltop Memory (Ken Clinger) on a hilltop memory solitude and gentle breeze deep is calling into deep opening infinity inner outer harmony far beyond the stars agree reaching source and destiny love is all to hear and see ordinary senses fade joy and ecstasy remain humility yet unafraid human words cannot explain an orchestra the separate notes are melting into harmony the swelling chords float upwards into clarity our hearts and minds rejoice realize love and self are one perfect stillness of the night solemn silent sounds arise out of darkness into light beyond the range of ears and eyes eternity the stirring of the heart in true reality being born anew unfolding destiny whatever we make of it knowing love and all are one leaving hilltop memory rising on the gentle breeze distant calling mystery entering infinity

I am an Idiom (Ken Clinger) a little bird told me at the end of the day all that glitters is not gold all the tea in China it's as good as new whether you blow hot or cold the blind leading the blind it's a bitter pill to swallow when it all come to a head it's a blessing in disguise to get blood from a stone even when you're hanging by a thread I'm as mad as a hatter at the drop of a hat all dressed up with nowhere to go I'm all fingers and thumbs all bark and no bite at a dog & pony show don't hold your breath don't take wooden nickels don't upset the apple cart if I drag my feet if I draw a blank then let's have a heart to heart I am an idiom you are an idiom they are all idioms too we are figurative meanings in common use what we seem to say take it another way for truth I am an idiom you are an idiom we are all idioms now we are figures of speech we don't mean what we say we hide behind a phrase come on and join, we can show you how it's a bit too much when you're waiting in the wings you can't have your cake and eat it too you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink until you walk a mile in its shoes when hell freezes over or when pigs fly just throw caution to the wind you get what you pay for you reap what you sew until your ship comes in I am an idiom you are an idiom they are all idioms too we are figurative meanings in common use what we seem to say take it another way for truth I am an idiom you are an idiom we are all idioms now we are figures of speech we don't mean what we say we hide behind a phrase come on and join, we can show you how

Dusting Off 08:08
Dusting Off (David Goard) Light – bright – winter sun is shining - in my eyes How I long for - days of fun and pleasure – without ties Loneliness and dreariness Make my life so meaningless and grim It’s a sin. Radiation’s not a healthy thing I read it in the news But I think I’ll have one last fling I’m - dusting off my blues. Hard work’s - a Spaniard - the trawler man declares In-side the ‘Old Turk’s Head’ – a bed – is prepared Warm the cockles of the heart Make you feel that you’re a part – of a plan A valued man. Radiation’s not a healthy thing I read it in the news But I think I’ll have one last fling I’m - dusting off my blues. Land ho - with sweet hellos - and sad goodbyes One last chance to feel the sun and see blue skies Salad days and holidays Rid us of - our cold, cold ways Cancer risks from sun beds soar As pale-faced Brits beg for more – heat It’s such a treat. Radiation’s not a healthy thing I read it in the news But I think I’ll have one last fling I’m - dusting off my blues.

Colors Blooming Thoughtlessly (Ken Clinger) the spiral becomes tighter narrowing its hold while the current becomes stronger too much to resist ahead there looms the vortex point too perfect to behold concentrated energy yet gentler than a kiss a surge from deep inside of me so beautiful with pain I lose a part of what I held too tightly to destroy but I can’t stand much more of this in spite of all the gain another surge, a wall collapse an all encompassed joy waking up, confusion reigns this won’t fit with that reorganize the dark & light choose grayness to fit in everything is now in place the inner diplomat but deep inside insisting voice refusing to give in a daydream interrupts the flow something like a kiss or colors blooming thoughtlessly within a field of gray the strange and wonderful return but shrouded in a mist a dream becomes a memory to slowly fade away
