sitting in the park with my head in the clouds
I noticed blue sky for the first time
I began a groovy for what seemed to be months
tho I get confused how I got here

without arriving
on taxi or bobsled
and nary a pillow
to place under by head
and push 'round pretending
it's "Jaws" in the parlour
and it gets excitening
whenever there's lightning

sitting in a tree with my eyes to the sky
I noticed the clouds for the first time
the groovy continued for what feels to be years
and it seems I've always been here

without arriving
on zebra or saucer
and only daydreams
to float 'round my head
and drift 'round pretending
it's "Oz" in the attic
and I'm filled with wonder
whenever there's thunder
